**Cold Weather Advisory Issued for Broome County: Dangerously Low Temperatures Expected**

Binghamton, NY – Broome County Emergency Services has issued a Cold Weather Advisory for the area, in effect from 10 PM this evening to 10 AM Tuesday. Residents are urged to take precautions as dangerously cold temperatures are anticipated overnight.

The advisory warns that "feels-like" temperatures could drop as low as -15°F due to a combination of low temperatures and wind chill. Under such conditions, frostbite on exposed skin can occur in as little as 30 minutes.

Officials are reminding residents to dress in layers, cover exposed skin, and limit time outdoors during this period. Emergency Services encourages people to check on vulnerable neighbors or family members to ensure their safety. For any emergencies, residents can call 911.
